  • Graduates students Lindsey Bellini and Chris Schabowsky profiled in Biomechanics Magazine (Read Article)

  • Dr. Tobias Nef, Post-doctoral Fellow at the CABRR, has been awarded the "Hans-Eggenberger-Foundation" award. The award comprises 10'000$ price money plus a 100'000$ research grant. It has been given to Dr. Nef for his PhD thesis entitled "ARMin - Development of a multimodal arm therapy robot". The thesis has been written when he was with Dr. Robert Riener at ETH and University Zurich, Switzerland.

  • Dr. Pete Lum, Associate Professor in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Catholic University, will replace Dr. Joe Hidler as the Director of CABRR effective July 1, 2008. Dr. Lum, a internationally recognized leader in field of rehabilitation robotics, has been a Senior Research Scientist within CABRR for the last 3 years. He has made significant contributions to the field of rehabilitation and motor control, having published more than 20 articles and book chapters, making him uniquely qualified to lead CABRR in the years to come.

  • Dr. Rich Macko and Dr. Joe Hidler co-edit a special issue of the Journal of Rehabilitation Research and Development which focuses on the effects of exercise and activity-based therapies following stroke and SCI. (Click here for complete listing of articles)

  • Dr. Susan Ryerson of CABRR has been awarded the 2008 Henry O. and Florence Kendall Practice Award from the APTA. This is the highest award given by the APTA for clinical practice (More)
